COVID-19 UPDATE and VIRTUAL CONSULTATIONS

At Houston Oculofacial Plastic Surgery, the health & safety of our patients and team members is our number one priority. Our practice is now conveniently offering Virtual Consultations for our patients that are unable to make it to the office in-person.

We understand that many people have waited several months to see us as a new patient and, at Houston Oculofacial Plastic Surgery, we have been working hard to develop a platform that allows us to still be able to provide you with the top quality, personalized care that has always been at the core of our practice.

Virtual Consultations

We are offering VIRTUAL CONSULTATIONS for any type of treatment or service we offer at our practice, both surgical and nonsurgical. From the comfort of your home, you can have a face-to-face virtual meeting with Dr. Sami and her staff on a smartphone, table, or computer with a camera.

Through video consultations with Dr. Sami and members of our team, we can evaluate your conditions and concerns and even start the process of developing a treatment plan based on your ultimate goals. If necessary, we can also schedule an in-person visit at a later date, at no additional charge, hopefully in conjunction with expeditious procedure scheduling. For our current patients, we are here for you if you are having any issues, and can set up a virtual follow-up appointment through the same platform. If technology is an issue, we can address any urgent issues in person if needed.

IN OFFICE

We are taking extra precautions in our office to keep our patients and staff safe. Temperature checks will be performed on all patients, visitors, and staff upon arrival. Only one guest will be permitted to accompany any patient while onsite. We would also like to ask all our valued patients to please help us keep everyone safe by doing your part and rescheduling your appointment if you or anyone in your household is experiencing any respiratory or flu-like symptoms (cold, fever, cough, and/or shortness of breath), has traveled in the past month, or has been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19. We will happily reschedule your appointment when you are well. Your health and well-being are of great importance to us, and we promise to do everything we can to keep you safe.

Dr. Sami and our team are closely monitoring the latest federal, state, and regional developments together with directives from the American Medical Association, the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association.

The COVID-19 situation is rapidly changing, and our response is adapting accordingly. We are continuing to follow the guidelines in place from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. We hope you understand that we are doing our part to keep you and all members of our team as safe and healthy as possible. Minimizing the potential for spreading the contagion is our absolute highest priority. We greatly appreciate your understanding, and we hope that you stay healthy!
