Sunglasses are more than just a great accessory for the summer. A good pair of sunglasses with the correct degree of UV protection can really help to protect your eyes and the sensitive skin around them from the harm that UV rays can cause. But don’t be fooled into buying sunglasses that don’t offer the protection you need.
Whether your sunglasses cost $100 or $1, the most important thing is that they need to offer 100% UV protection. More expensive does not mean more protection. You should also make sure you’re buying from a reputable vendor. Knock-off brands from shady vendors may have fake stickers claiming they offer protection.
You also need to know that darker sunglasses do not offer more protection from UV rays. UV protection is a clear layer on the lenses, so don’t be fooled by sunglasses that look very dark.
